Who is Navya?
Navya is a Cambridge, MA based cancer informatics and patient services company that leverages technology to provide personalized, evidence-based cancer treatment plans.
Navya has partnered with leading cancer centers, including Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York and Tata Memorial Centre in Mumbai to provide expert opinions to patients worldwide, and has ongoing pilots with Cleveland Clinic and Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Navya is a proud member of the White House CancerX Moonshot Initiative, and was selected as one of the fifteen startups out of 150 national applicants in the inaugural 2024 cohort for the CancerX accelerator program. Navya was championed by Moffitt Cancer Center.
How does it work?
The Navya Cancer Data Model collects medical records from the health information exchanges and then abstracts these medical records into a structured case summary that consolidates pertinent information from the patient’s medical history into a concise, detailed narrative.
This enables experts to complete a record review and render an opinion on the Navya ExpertApp in a median time of 4.8 minutes. Navya then translates the expert's recommendation into a report written in accessible, patient-friendly language.
Navya has been issued four patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for its pioneering processes.
How do experts complete a consultation?
Experts receive consultation requests on a weekly basis at pre-scheduled times they determine. They then access the Navya ExpertApp, which provides a succinct case summary of all critical events in the patient's treatment journey, and specific questions about diagnostics and management.
Experts respond in the ExpertApp using clinical shorthand, writing in medical language as they might explain the plan in brief to a fellow at a tumor board. Navya software then converts this into a patient-friendly letter.
Experts typically dedicate one hour per week to 4-6 cases. Experts are remunerated for the number of cases that they respond to on a monthly basis.
EXPERT TESTIMONIALS
Using the Navya Expert App, I was able to provide a patient my treatment recommendation in only 6 minutes. For comparison a similar task on other systems like Grand Rounds would have taken about an hour.
Dr. Tiffany Traina
We were very impressed with the product. It was one of the most innovative products I have seen that is evidenced based and optimizes AI and has the opportunity for scale. I think the time savings to physicians and the anonymity of the doctor are very appealing; and solves an issue we have.
Mara Bloom, JD, MS
My experience with Navya has been excellent. It is wonderful to be able to serve patients who live far away and cannot come personally to seek an expert opinion. Navya puts all the patient details in an easy format which enables the experts to give a rapid and detailed response. Navya is the future of cancer care and is helping to standardize cancer treatment recommendations throughout the country and among patients who do not have access to tertiary hospitals and specialized care.
Dr. Shona Nag
Navya cuts short delay and helps patients commence treatment early. It also reduces the time taken to decide on the treatment, thereby ensuring the right approach and optimal treatment plan from reputed cancer experts.

Navya works with several organizations that receive requests for a Navya Expert Opinion from patients. Our software then connects to the Health Information Exchange, and our
clinical staff then collects any remaining records. Our software creates a
summary of the records, and uploads them to our ExpertApp.
We then match the patient with the right specialist from our expert panel.
